The Laguiole en Aubrac sommelier or corkscrew is the result of a seamless blend between wine and Laguiole knife.
As a practical and functional object becoming an Art item, it is an integral part of the history of Aubrac people. The sommelier takes us back to the time of the ‘bougnats,’ in the early 19th century, when the Aubrac farmers left their mountains to reach Paris in order to deliver wood and coal for heating. In the 1950s, thanks to their hard work and savings, the ‘bougnats’ acquired establishments and transformed their business into breweries. Today, they form the ‘bistrocracy’ of the Aveyronnais in Paris, where the corkscrew was a must-have !

Laguiole classic sommelier

The design of the Laguiole en Aubrac Sommelier allows for the optimal balance between functionality, ergonomics, and elegance. Our sommelier is distinguished by its undulating curves: a sleek and delicate style that fits perfectly in the hand. The corkscrew is crafted with a 5-turn conical spiral, enabling better penetration into the cork and facilitating an effortless opening of the wine bottle.

Bras sommelier

This new sommelier design has been developed in collaboration with André and Michel BRAS and tested in their restaurant Le Suquet in Laguiole.
The Bras sommelier is characterized by its modern and finedesign: its elegant shape reminds the original lines of the Laguiole knife with the ‘Laguiole droit’. The bee has been replaced by a diamond stylized fly placed in the center of the spring. By lifting it, the blade of the sommelier can rotate.

Champagne saber

‘Pop the champagne’ is a delicate and spectacular art! This tradition dates back to the 19th century and originated from the customs of many cavalry regiments. To celebrate their victories, soldiers of the Napoleonic Guard would open champagne bottles using their sabers. Today, this surprising technique is used during events such as weddings, birthdays, but also during friendly gatherings with family or friends, to share an unforgettable moment.

The Laguiole Champagne sabre in Aubrac is the perfect accessory to impress your guests. Majestic with its 45cm length, sophisticated with its characteristic curved handle reminiscent of the Laguiole knife, the Champagne saber becomes a true collector’s item.
